The Book

This is a book about how to release human energy at work.
It views people as energy fields (physical energy, intellectual energy, emotional energy and spiritual energy), deeper and stronger than most managers understand.
It also views organisations as energy fields, more than the sum of the energy fields of the people concerned because the spaces in between people are not empty they are jammed-packed with energy that has the potential to create places of heaven or hell.
The central theme of this book is captured in a wonderful true story:
"Four hundred years ago a group of Thai monks hid their Golden Buddha statue from marauding tribes by covering it with clay. Soon afterwards the temple was attacked and everyone was killed. For the next 400 years everyone thought this Buddha was a clay Buddha. Recently, when they tried to move it, the clay broke off and the Golden Buddha inside was revealed."
This story holds a universal truth. Cracking Great Leaders know that we all have a “Golden Buddha” inside. Unfortunately, it’s mostly covered with mud that people have flicked at us over the years; often by the people we trust most, like parents, teachers and managers. We've been told that we can't do things, we're not good enough, we don't have the skills and it becomes part of the picture we have of ourselves.
It gets even worse, because, sadly, we also flick mud at ourselves. The little voice in the back of our heads torments many of us and as a result, many of us are a tiny fraction of our potential.
Cracking Great Leaders make it their business to crack off the mud and "dis-cover" the Core of Greatness in everyone so their brightness can shine through again.
Cracking Great Leaders change lives and change the world. They change lives by helping others contribute far more than they thought they were capable of. Around Cracking Great Leaders people feel like gods (capable of doing almost anything) and in a snowball effect these gods in turn make their people into gods also. Turn enough people into gods and you change the world!
Cracking Great Leaders release this energy in a positive way and in doing so access a huge unsailed ocean of potential sufficient to change people, change organisations and (maybe) even change the world.
This book shows managers that they are much more than they think they are. This book shows managers that the people they manage are so much more than most managers think they are. This book shows that organisations can be far more successful than most of them are. Finally, this book shows that more successful organisations are the main (maybe the only) way to save the planet from its cur-rent destructive path.
This book goes well beyond “strength-based approaches” to Core of Greatness levels. It also goes beyond a process for individuals to a strategic program, based on 22 years of experience, designed to liberate the human energy of every person in your organisation. It will liberate your own Greatness, liberate Organisational Greatness throughout your organisation and ultimately help liberate Collective Greatness throughout the planet. The book is written for business leaders; however, parents, grandparents, teachers and almost anyone would benefit by following the step-by-step proven processes provided.

This book will appeal to managers who:
- Believe in their people, even before profits
- Realise the existing ways are not creating long-term gains
- Want to enjoy themselves at work and fear dying with their music unsung.
